Our #AdvancedManufacturing Industry Study recently embarked on a journey to Corvallis, OR and #Chicago, IL. At NuScale Power, they delved into the realm of modern modular #nuclearpower systems, discovering how advanced #technology can enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The visit underscored the importance of cleaner and more cost-effective #energyresources as our Nation gears up its #advancedcomputing capabilities. Meanwhile, at MxD in Chicago, students explored #AI-empowered manufacturing and state-of-the-art #cybersecuritytechnology crucial for safeguarding our #defenseindustrialbase. They also got a glimpse into how #MxD partners with #DoD on initiatives to equip US factories with the digital tools, #cybersecurity and workforce to succeed.

As part of their domestic field studies, our Networking and Media Industry Study recently visited Applied Intuition, HP, and Google in #California, delving into the cutting-edge developments shaping the future of #softwaredevelopment for both military and commercial applications. Our Organic Industrial Base Industry Study students conducted their overseas field studies in the #UnitedKingdom, where they engaged with our various #UK partners, visiting #London, Shrewsbury, #Oxford, and Portsmouth, touring several industry related facilities and organizations.

Our Commandant's Lecture Series recently welcomed Hon. James Anderson, former Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Strategy, Plans, and Capabilities, to provide a comprehensive overview of great power competition, particularly focusing on #China and its People's Liberation Army. Delving into the formulation and coordination of #nationalsecurity policy, he provided valuable perspectives into strategies aimed at addressing and countering emerging threats. He also emphasized the importance of building partnerships and defense cooperation with U.S. allies highlighting the collaborative approach necessary to safeguard our Nation's security interests. Our #SpaceIndustry students embarked on a fascinating field studies journey to #Japan and #Denver, Colorado. In Japan, they engaged in discussions with leaders from its Department of State, Ministry of Defense (MOD) Space Force, National Space Policy Secretariat, the Japan Institute for Space and Security (JISS), and the JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, along with several industry partners including Astroscale. In #Colorado, students had the opportunity to observe the impressive capabilities of the United States Space Force. They also participated in enlightening discussions with Colorado Space Industry Panelists, visited the esteemed Colorado School of Mines, and met with members of the space #NationalGuard. This immersive experience provided our students with invaluable insights into the global space industry landscape and facilitated meaningful connections with key stakeholders. #spaceinnovation #spacetech
