If you've been clinging onto the past and haven't upgraded your iPhone, it could be time to switch things up. Apple already has a bunch of devices - including the iPhone 5c and iPhone 6s - that have been given the dreaded status of being obsolete and now there's another call maker that's been added to that list.

As spotted by the eagle-eyed team at MacRumours, the hugely popular iPhone 5s is no longer being supported by the US technology giant.
Devices that receive the "obsolete" branding are no longer supported by Apple and don't have access to spare parts - that means they can't be fixed if they break.
"Products are considered obsolete when Apple stopped distributing them for sale more than 7 years ago," Apple explained on its support page.
"Apple discontinues all hardware service for obsolete products, and service providers cannot order parts for obsolete products."

The iPhone 5s was first launched all the way back in 2013 so it's likely that most people who purchased one have now switched to something new.
However, this has long been one of Apple's most-loved devices with it being the first device to get a Touch ID fingerprint scanner built into the home button. That meant users could finally access the device without punching in a four digit code.
It also featured the A7 chip, a single rear camera, headphone port and a 4-inch display.
If you're one of those who still uses this classic iPhone then it's probably time you made the switch especially with Apple looking set to release another new operating system next week at its WWDC Developers Conference that clearly won't be compatible with the 5s.
