Karla Capalbo

Karla Venita Capalbo, 92, of Little Rock, formerly of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 31, 2018. The way she left this world was as crazy and colorful as she was in life. Having passed on Halloween, she had a clown, a mime, The Queen of Hearts, and a werewolf weeping and praying over her.

Mrs. Capalbo was born December 6, 1925, in Pine Bluff to the late Haley Hester and Ruby Heird Hester.

Karla was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff. After high school, Karla received her certificate in nursing and worked for Jefferson Regional Medical Center, before working as the Director of Family Planning in Jefferson County until her retirement. She was considered a Rockstar at Brookdale because of her “no filter” quick wit and humor. She was not a person you were soon to forget.

In addition to her parents, Karla was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Anthony “Tony” Capalbo in 2013. He was her perfect match and the only one that could keep up with her.

She is survived by her children, Kim Erwin-Louks (David) of Little Rock, Mike Waymack (Kay) of Hot Springs, and Rusty Waymack (Regina) of Rogers; grandchildren, Shaina Erwin of Little Rock and Lorri Dunn of Forrest City; four great-grandchildren, Sunni, Ross, Jack, and Susie Dunn; one brother, Havis Hester of Pine Bluff.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son.

Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Online Condolences: www.RalphRobinsonAndSon.com
